Bollywood isn't just the playing ground of big stars. While Khans and Kapoors of Bollywood are still making waves with one hit after another, a fresh crop of new faces is slowly making its way to the big bad world of Bollywood. The nature of the industry is such that it always demands new blood. Packed with talent and bubbling with energy, Bollywood is lucky to have newcomers who are competing with the established stars in popularity and acting skills. Bollywood gets his new star in Siddharth Gupta who is making his debut in the movie `Kuku Mathur ki Jhand Ho Gayi` which is directed by Aman Sachdeva and produced by Balaji.

This movie is set in Delhi and offers a fun and quirky look into the mundane, routine life of the characters. The film is about a no-holds barred friendship that turns crazy when competition seeps in. The story revolves around Kuku Mathur (Siddharth Gupta) and Ronnie (Ashish Juneja) is childhood chaddi-buddies. In their late teens, life takes a turn and they grow up and grow out of each other. Here's a dosti-yaari story packaged and dished out in pure Dilli dhaaba-style - with local tadka. With a young, fresh star-cast - minus frills and fanfare. No mundas baring bronzed six-pack bods or gori mundis dancing to disco bhangra, it's as simple as aloo paratha with lassi.

Movie critic of HelloMumbai said, `KUKU MATHUR KI JHAND HO GAYI not only boasts of a hatke title, but makes an attempt to provide humor and entertainment in the alternate landscape. Like DELHI BELLY and FUKRAY, the backdrop is Delhi, the storyline is simplistic and relatable, but the humor is not over the top. Debutants Siddharth Gupta has done his work properly and Ashish was decent.`

According to Dubaitoday, `The film's title itself is so deterring that audiences won't exactly be attracted to the name of it. And if they are, Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi hardly has anything solid to offer to them. It's a dull, flat film which doesn't allow you a moment of fun. New comer Siddharth Gupta reaches up to his make and can make big in Bollywood.`

BombaySamachar said, `The movie has lots of newcomer but only few can make an effort to do justice in their role. Actor Siddharth Gupta was good. Sachdeva's plot is straightforward. The story doesn't offer much, but it's the jhund of characters that make you chortle with their spontaneous lines and lingo. Funny situations and scenes with quirky characters provide clean humour but that can't substitute for the lack of a good, engaging story.` Other Rating given by Critics are Rediff: 2.5/5, DNA: 2/5, Times of India: 2.5/5 and Taran Adarsh: 3/5.
