One of Vidya Balan's looks in her upcoming film 'Bobby Jasoos' is apparently designed to look like Shobha Kapoor's

Vidya Balan has donned various avatars in her upcoming film, Bobby Jasoos. And if sources are to be believed, one of them takes inspiration from Shobha Kapoor, who has incidentally produced Vidya's hit film, The Dirty Picture.

A source says, ` In one of the scenes, Vidya is shown playing a television show producer named Makhila Kapoor. Forget the last name, we have also made her wear attire that is similar to Shobha Kapoor's. Accordingly, she will wear a big bindi, dark lipstick and many strands of rudraksha around her neck, apart from some jewellery on her wrist.`


If that's enough, Vidya apparently tried 122 getups before finalising 10 to 12 disguises for the film. `In the film, she is seen as a beggar, an astrologer, a peon and a college student, among other looks. These looks have been put together by the production team after careful research,` says the source.


A crewmember says that since the actress is close to both Ekta and Shobha Kapoor, she could easily enact the latter's mannerisms. `Of course, it has all been done in a very light-hearted fashion. It is just a spoof and we are hoping that everyone will understand it and take it in the right spirit.`

The film's spokesperson didn't reveal much. `One of Vidya's disguises is that of a TV producer,` was the reply.
