Most B-Town stars have a characteristic look when being photographed

Where there are stars, there are cameras. As soon as bright flashlights turn to them, the Tinsel Town folk strike a pose. On the red carpet, at events and even when almost caught unawares, they love to get into their characteristic mode. The ways in which they pose in front of the camera may reveal clues to what's going on in their minds.

I am a teapot...
From Deepika Padukone to Katrina Kaif and Sonakshi Sinha, most female stars pose with arms akimbo, especially on the red carpet.

It's supposed to make you appear slimmer, but it makes everyone look like a teapot, we think. Remember that nursery rhyme: I am a little teapot? Get over it, ladies!

The thumbs-up gang
As soon as they spot the shutterbugs, actors John Abraham and Ranveer Singh raise their thumbs to strike their characteristic pose.

The two stars are well-known for this pose. Aamir Khan, too, sometimes gives a thumbs-up for the camera. It seems to be their way of indicating approval of what is going on.

Crossed effect
Priyanka Chopra has a penchant for standing with her legs crossed.

Crossed legs, in body language, can mean you are either relaxed or defensive. Salman Khan often stands with his arms crossed - a sign that awkward questions are a definite no.

Hands in the pocket
Suniel Shetty always does it, and Ranbir Kapoor, too, does it quite often. They prefer to put their hands in their pockets when being photographed.
