In an industry populated with big stars and bigger egos, personality clashes are not new. Time and again, celebs have been at loggerheads - be it due to a love affair gone sour, vying for more screen space or eyeing the same plum film project. More often than not, peace is brokered by another celebrity, usually a common friend.

A recent case is the equation between Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn. In 2012, Devgn's film, Son Of Sardaar, clashed with Khan's Jab Tak Hain Jaan and things between the two apparently turned ugly. But recently, SRK hugged Devgn on the sets of Singham Returns. He even tweeted, `Want to wish Rohit Shetty & Ajay Devgn & their whole team of Singham 2 the best of luck. May u entertain us as u have been doing for yrs. (sic)` Reacting to SRK's tweet, Ajay said, `We are all civilised people and there are no issues as such between us.`

It is being said that Rohit Shetty played peacemaker between the two. The director is Devgn's close friend and he shares a good rapport with Khan. Truce tale: After Prakash Jha and Nana Patekar had a falling out, Ranbir Kapoor brought them together. Ranbir shares a good equation both, so when he was touring Hong Kong with Jha and the other members of the cast of Raajneeti, he phoned Nana and made the two talk to each other. After a long conversation, Jha and Nana apparently sorted out their differences.

Truce tale: Sources say that Salman had tried to sort out differences between the couple. When Salman met Sussanne at a store launch, the two apparently had a heart-to-heart chat about her troubled marriage. Khan had apparently also advised Hrithik when he met him at his Panvel farmhouse. But his attempts didn't help and the couple has now filed for divorce.

Truce tale: Saif is said to have helped Karisma and Sanjay end their marriage amicably. The couple apparently had long-drawn arguments but thanks to Saif's timely intervention, they opted for divorce by mutual consent. A source says, `Had it not been for Saif, the court proceedings could have ended in an impasse.`
