Though they haven't connected as yet, Amitabh Bachchan and John Abraham have been placed in adjacent rooms at the Lilavati hospital.

John is responding to his treatment. Sounding less disheartened than she did yesterday Bipasha says, "John is improving slowly. His fever has come down and he's off the drip. Though he needs total bed-rest, he's much better now."

Mr Bachchan too seems to be well on the road to recovery. All intravenous treatment and tubes have now been removed and he's receiving selected guests in his room.

According to regular visitors he's not only on the road to recovery but also strolling in his room.

"But he has become very weak. It will be some time before he recuperates completely," says a concerned family friend.
