Taking a break from her Piku shoot with Big B, Deepika Padukone talks about RK and Ranveer, SLB and KJo, Sonam and Kareena....Excerpts:

Your RK tattoo has got almost hidden under another etching of vines and blooms... (Smiles and hides her neck with her tresses) You worked with RK (Ranbir Kapoor) in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and have just completed the first schedule of Tamaasha. Is it easy romance on screen someone you were once head-over-heels in love with?
Ranbir and I are professional actors, we don't come on the sets with any baggage.

You been spending a lot of quality time with Ranveer Singh but refuse to talk about the relationship. Why??
Every relationship needs time, you need to nurture it. There's no point talking about something when you're not sure what you want from it.

Sonam Kapoor took a dig at you in Karan Johar's chat show, saying: "Deepika doesn't have her own style. Deepika is one good-girl gone-bad, who has an over-enthusiastic PR team." Comment.
It doesn't surprise me (pauses). Sonam is entitled to her opinion. Yes, I have a set of professionals to look after me whom I trust. So what? My job is just to act.

You must be happy with the way your career is going--Finding Fanny, Happy New Year this year, followed by Piku, Tamaasha and Bajirao Mastani in 2015?
I am happy and lucky to be part of the film industry when so much is happening in terms of content. A classic case in point is Finding Fanny which is so different from the usual masala movies. I wasn't the first choice but after Cocktail wrapped up, I told Homi (Adajania) that I'd like to do the film. Unless I give something different to the audience occasionally, how will I know how much I can push myself as an actor? In Cocktail I was Veronica, born and brought up in London. In Finding Fanny, I'm Angie who lives in her own world.

But Farah Khan signed you because you are a star and not because you are an actor...
On my part, I will do any role for Shah Rukh (Khan) and her without even asking what film they are making or how much they will pay me. I'm here because they gave me an awesome launch in Om Shanti Om.

Isn't it true that Sanjay Leela Bhansali whisked Ranveer and you from Karan Johar's Shuddhi for his Bajirao Mastani?
I was not offered Shuddhi. I did not leave any film for Bajirao Mastani.

Now, Bajirao Mastani and Tamashaa are opening on the same Friday.
Yeah, I read that in Mirror recently.

You were offered Ashutosh Gowariker's Mohenjo-Daro opposite Hrithik Roshan...
(Cuts in) It's silly when actors talk about films they didn't do because they are remembered for the ones they did.

Are you referring to Kareena Kapoor?
