At a recent event held to promote his upcoming film, 'Balwinder Singh Famous Ho Gaya', Mika Singh gifted a diamond ring to Amitabh Bachchan. Says a source, "As the guest of honour at the film's music launch, Bachchan was asked to speak about Mika. Big B mentioned how he listens to Mika's songs once in a while and how his family loves the singer's voice. He also joked that now there was one more competitor in the field of acting."

The source adds that on his part, an overwhelmed Mika thanked the superstar for gracing the event with his presence. "He then took out a diamond ring from his hand and made Bachchan wear it. The senior actor was a little hesitant to accept it but Mika insisted that he take it. It was his way of expressing his love for the veteran actor; he gave it to Big B as a mark of respect," says the source.


It may be pointed that Mika is known to hand out expensive gifts to his celeb friends. In March this year, he gifted an expensive wristwatch to Mithun Chakraborty, when he appeared on the sets of a dance reality show. When he met Rekha for the first time at an awards function this year, he gifted her his Sikh Khanda locket.

Not so long ago, the singer had also gifted music director Pritam an SUV for giving him a hit song. When asked at the event about his latest gifting gesture, Mika said, "I am just grateful that Big B took time out from his busy schedule."
