After a hiatus, Rahul Khanna will be seen on the big screen in Sabal Singh Shekhawat's upcoming film Fireflies. The actor was last seen in a small role in Love Aaj Kal (2009).

Rahul says, "There's no particular reason. I guess that's just the way it turned out. I was to be a part of a couple of projects in between which, unfortunately, didn't end up working out." Interestingly, Rahul made his feature film debut in Deepa Mehta's 1999 film 1947 Earth alongside Aamir Khan.
