What is ailing Meera... our very own ambassador of peace? The Pak beauty gave everybody a nightmare when she went into hiding post her Dubai International film festival appearance.

Meera's spokesperson and publicist Dale Bhagwagar, who was planning to approach police in the matter, said, ''Meera left for Dubai on December 10 to attend the Dubai International Film Festival which took place on December 17. Since then, she was completely incommunicado''.

Even her secretary D K Shroff as well as mentor Mahesh Bhatt are not aware of her whereabouts, he said.

Just when all of them unanimously decided to seek police help in this matter.. Meera resurfaced and shocked them with her claim.

"I was in Mumbai at my house in Juhu. Yes, I stayed away from public view for a while, but I'm not lost. I am not in touch with Bollywood for a while, but will be back with a big project soon," she said while talking to a paper.

But our further investigation into the matter tells us there is more to it than what meets the eye. Till New Year, Meera was actually not available at her rented Juhu apartment. All her letters and packages were yet undelivered and lying with the security staff .

A close source also reveals that Meera was in Pakistan all the time but not at her home in Lahore. The Pak hottie was in Karachi away from her parents, who are trying to force her into a matrimony.

Yes... it all comes down to her marriage, which she is obviously trying to evade to make some impact in Bollywood.

She even discussed the matter with Mahesh Bhatt who found her all depressed a few days back. Bhatt suggested him to take a break but what Meera opted for was a complete hibernation.

We hope she gets some good hits this year to shed her flop blues. At least, that will give the poor girl some respite. Right Meera?
