Actress Monica Bedi says she does not want to typecast herself by doing similar roles on the small screen.

The 39-year-old actress made her TV debut with a negative character on Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Saraswatichandra'.

"I don't want to play negative roles only. As I am new to this medium, I want to explore various roles on TV and then I will decide which one I enjoy doing more," Monica told PTI in an interview.

The actress has bagged another offer on the small screen.

In her second TV outing, Monica would be seen playing an animal rights activist on Zee TV's popular show 'Bandhan', which chronicles the bonding between a little girl and her elephant.

"This role is completely different to what I did in the past. It's a positive role as I help the protagonist of the show to get back her Ganesha (elephant). I am playing an animal rights activist," Monica said.

The actress said she is a an avid viewer of the popular celebrity reality show and feels Praneet Bhatt should win the current season.

"Our season was different from the current one. This time it is still unpredictable. But my favourite is Praneet. I find him fair and just," she added.
