In an interview to a Bollywood news website, Jacqueline Fernandez has been quoted as saying that she doesn't think that Salman Khan is aware that he is linked to her by the media. She has clarified that after knowing how the media functions, stars no longer care about whom they are being linked to especially if you share a great equation with the person in question and don't want the rumours to affect the friendship.

She also asserts that she thinks that the film fraternity doesn't take these media-created link-ups seriously. she maintains that she is single but not ready to mingle.
