Macho man Sunny Deol is no brave heart! He might have overcome many dreadful situations in reel life but when it was a question of risking his life in real, he back out soon enough.

‘Gadar' hero was suppose to shoot for 35-40 days in Afghanistan for Ammtoje Mann's ‘Kaafila' but fearing security problems he revealed his unwillingness to shoot their. So the director shot all the scenes in Ladakh as the place looks very similar to Afghanistan in backdrop and ambience.

We can't help but compare Sunny with John. The latter took the ultimate risk of his life shooting for Kabir Khan's ‘Kabul Express' that is entirely shot in Afghanistan capital, Kabul. Apart from facing problems of food, water and security, John even fell seriously ill and had to be admitted to Lilavati hospital. Not just that, he again went their to finish the remaining work even when Bipasha and John's mother were worried of his illness relapse.

Kaafila is a film about illegal migrants and their problems, inspired from the real life incident of 1996 Malta boat tragedy, which claimed the life of over 290 people on Christmas Day, most of them Indians. Kaafila starring Sunny Deol and Pakistani actress Sana in lead roles, is nearly 75 per cent complete. The film is scheduled for a mid-2006 release.
