Mani Ratnam's Guru is making lot of news these days due to its interesting cast coup. Just when the ace director was busy signing Mallika Sherawat, Vivek Oberoi announced his exit from the film.

No Mallika has nothing to do with it. Vivek decided to quit due to Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai who play the parallel lead in Guru.

Oberoi who hit it off really well with Mani during Yuva was finalised to play the parallel lead with Vidya Balan.

Reveals Vivek's close friend,"It would be very awkward for Vivek to interact with Abhishek and Aishwarya on the sets," says a close friend of Oberoi. "Abhishek and Aishwarya too would feel uncomfortable with Vivek around. So, Vivek has rightly opted out."

"In fact, Vivek has gone into a complete shell nowadays," continues the friend. "He doesn't take calls, or socialise at all. When film-maker Rituparno Ghosh met him recently, Vivek told him he that he doesn't feel like interacting with anyone. He is still feeling betrayed. His wounds will take some time to heal."

With Oberoi out, the hunt is on for another leading man. John Abraham was approached but he didn't have dates available. With the shoot scheduled soon, Vidya Balan now finds herself without a co-star.
