'Udta Punjab' also stars Shahid's former girfriend Kareena Kapoor Khan, 'Highway' actress Alia Bhatt and Punjabi star Diljit Dosanjh.

Directed by 'Ishqiya' helmer Abhishek Chaubey, and produced by Phantom Films, it tells the story of substance abuse.

Earlier, Shahid Kapoor had revealed his look in the film by posting a snapshot of him sporting a blue streak in his hair on Twitter.
