Donilee Marie McGinnis

What is your hometown like?
I have the best of both worlds. My town is rural and peaceful yet very close to the big city.

What were you like when you were a child?
I grew up in my mother's vintage clothing store playing dress up and singing along to musicals, which made for a very happy childhood.

Who is the most influential person in your life?
My brother. Having a brother with autism has taught me compassion and to appreciate the differences in each of us. His sense of humor and zest for life is a true example of how we should live each day of our lives.

What is one thing about you that people you meet may not immediately realize?
That I would love to be a lead actress in a Broadway play

What was one defining moment in your life?
Winning the Miss Portland title at my first pageant. This gave me confidence and a drive to succeed that I didn't realize was in me.

What was one defining moment in your life?
Hard work and being true to yourself pays off in many ways.

What was one defining moment in your life?
As well as promoting my platform, Autism Advocacy and Awareness, I want to be an inspiration and encourage young women to participate in this program and have a platform they are passionate about.
