Worst Year Ever - TIME Magazine Crossed Out '2020' With Red Mark
The conventional retrospective of the year was released by TIME magazine and its cover tells exactly what is on our minds. The 'Black Year of our lives, the year 2020 that downside transformed the universe, the year nobody wants to replay.

The cover of TIME's Dec. 14 crosses the holy grail of a year that is 2020 with a large red 'X'. As we go into the history of TIME magazine, it really would be important to note that TIME has just four other times used a red 'X' to cross out different items on its cover. Here's when it has happened before:

1. In 1945, the first moment there was Adolf Hitler's death was 75 years before and later the same year the beginning of the war in a pacific theatre was marked by a black "X" over Japan's rising sun.

2. In 2003 the second "X" was used. This time at the onset of the Iraq war it came out of Saddam Hussein.

3. TIME's third "X" occurred in 2006 when US forces killed al-Qaeda leader Abu Mousab al-Zarqawi in Iraq.

4. In 2011, Osama bin Laden was killed over the most recent use of the 'X.'

And now, TIME symbolized the end of the historic year with the famous logo, which at least changed everything for the next 10 years.

While the battle against Covid 19 is still going on, hopefully, the year that brought us the fear of death, the disappearance of our loved ones, leaving millions unemployed is coming to an end. While the world anticipates the vaccine against Coronavirus, in most countries, life is back on track, and people have learned to deal with the virus, armed with masks and sanitizers, defending themselves and humanity.
