Cynthia Kanema

Age: 24
Height: 5'10"
Hair Colour: Black
Eye Colour: Brown

Occupation:
CEO of Fineway Communications; Founder and Program Coordinator for SOS Africa, Zambia.

Interests: My interests are in social and charity work to aid those less fortunate than me. I enjoy singing and listening to gospel music, reading, watching movies, cooking, dancing and outdoor sports.

Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?
My best friend, Victor. He introduced me to an intimate relationship with God. He helped me see the potential in myself through the books he had me read and his motivational speeches.

What is the most interesting or unique thing that has ever happened to you (aside from winning your title) and/or what is the most interesting thing about you?
The most interesting thing that has happened to me is the realization that the helping hand I've been looking for is right at the end of my arm and that my small contributions to the people around me is God's way of answering their prayers. The most interesting thing about me is that I believe the highest peak of my past achievements is the worst of my future because to me the sky is not the limit. It is the starting point.

What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
I'm the CEO of my own company called Fineway Communications, specializing in PR and Events Management of Glamour and Glitz. I'm also the founder and program coodinator of an HIV/AIDS community awareness initiative. My ambition is to combine these two to make a difference in people's lives and the economony as a whole.

Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I was born and raised in a small quiet town called Kabwe which is a 1 1/2 hour drive from the capital city. Our home was filled with a lot of love and happiness. The humble spirit of my parents was instilled in all of us. Being the only girl in a family of six was a challenge and still is but our family remains supportive of one another and keeps us united and alive.

List any interesting or unsual jobs you may have had.
Miss Zambia 2003.

What is your most unusual talent?
Spotting people who are in need of a listening ear without them saying anything. I exhibit an excellent listening ear and believe this is my gift to other people.
