Miss Montana
Kendall Powell
What is the craziest thing you have ever done?
I think one of the craziest things I have ever done was during my 8th grade year when I tackled a player in a basketball tournament. Our team was behind and our coach in a frenzy, yelled at me to foul her so we could get the ball and score. So I acted in desperation and tackled her into the bleachers. We lost the game, and yes, at the time it was quite embarrassing, but after the game I couldn’t help but laugh at it. Even though I helped her up I don't think I was ever a candidate for the Sportsmanship award that year! :)

What are your strongest talents?
My strongest talents are singing, acting and writing poetry.
Name one person, family, friend, celebrity, who has had the most influence on your life.
Judy Garcia. The one person who has influenced my life the most was my theatre director/music teacher. I would have never pursued music and drama if it wasn't for Judy. She showed me my potential to grow and to become someone with amazing talents. She also taught me to he humble when the time came for me to shine on stage and always pushed me to the next level even if I didn't think I could make it. She always had joy in her step and a heart to help others. She always believed in me, and I owe much thanks. I also owe much of who I am today to Judy. I wouldn't have gotten this far if it wasn't for her!
Describe how you envision yourself in five years?
At age 22, I see myself closing out my college career with a Marketing and Advertising degree and working to create ads that will be shown nationwide during the Super Bowl in 2010!
What else do you want the judges to know about you?
Since 1983, the first year of the Miss Teen USA pageant, there have been 1,071 delegates over the span of 21 years, and not once has the delegate from Montana been chosen for the Top 15. I would like the judges to know that I am prepared and eager to change history!
