Where did you grow up? Tell us a little about your home town/city, and family.
I grew up in Arad, situated in the West of the country. It is a very nice and quite city. I am very proud of my home city and I like the people from Arad who are known as being very friendly and also known for their hospitality and that makes me feel at home every time I go back to Arad, because as it says: "Ibi bene, ibi patria", which means "You are home where you feel home". My parents: Maria- my mother, and Teodor- my father, are very important to me and support me in everything I do. This gives me more reasons and courage to fight for my dreams and to realise myself and makes me more self-confident. I also have a brother, named Dorin, who is 3 years older than me. We are very close to one another and he is the most important person of my life.
What Jobs have you done? What was the most interesting/bizarre?
I haven’t done any job until now. At the moment I am studying management and economics at the West University of Timisoara and until I finish my studies school is very important and is my first priority.
What are your career ambitions, how do you plan to realise them?
Firstly I want to finish my studies and work in modelling at the same time, but in the future I would like to have a career in television or have my own business that’s why right now I am a student in the 3rd year at Management and Economics. I really trust that my modelling agency, will help and support me to be a good and professional model.
What is the proudest moment of your life? (Not including winning your National Title)
The proudest moment of my life, not including winning my national title was when I won my first swimming contest. I remember how happy I was and the satisfaction that I had when I’d obtain the first place after the work and efforts that I put in that contest. Also, seeing how proud my parents and friends were, made me more self confident and more responsible and gave me reason to fight for my dreams in life.
What was the funniest/most embarrassing moment of your life?
The most embarrassing moment of my life as I still remember was when I came home from school one day, 4 years ago and I was walking to the corridor of the building were I stayed, talking on my cellular phone, I entered at my neighbours apartment instead of my own apartment by mistake, because we had similar doors saying: Hi mom!" and then I saw the face of my neighbour who started laughing at me. I was very embarrassed.
What was the funniest/most embarrassing moment of your life?
Since winning my national title, my life changed a lot. I became a public person and my schedule became full so I am very busy all the time. I also met a lot of new people and made more friends. I realise that being Miss World Romania 2004, is a big responsibility, that is why I am careful with everything I do or say because I represent my country so it is very important my image is perfect.
Tell us about an interesting event you have attended, or a person that you have met.
Some months ago I met a very interesting person who became one of my best friends. I admire this person for the energy and ambition that he has. The interesting fact of this person and what makes him so special is his job. He is a mountain rescue team - leader. I appreciate his courage and the fact that he is risking his life, every day, for saving others life. He is an exceptional person.
What would you like to do, if you became Miss World 2004?
If I become the next Miss World I would like to travel around the world to meet new people and learn more things about other cultures and traditions. I would also like to play a major role in charitable events and also advocate environmental protection; I really believe that I could make a difference.
If you had a personal motto what would it be?
"Do your best no matter what challenges you might face in life and never give up on your dreams."
Give details of any charitable work undertaken?
When I was in high school at holidays our class often went to visit and bring presents to orphan kids. It is very important to not forget the people less fortunate and do our best to help and support them. I know that with the support of Miss Romania Organisers, I will be involved in a lot of charity events for children and I will be very happy to help their cause.
