Where did you grow up? Tell us a little about your home town/city, and family.
I grew up in Linlithgow near Edinburgh in Scotland. Linlithgow is a Royal Burgh with a beautiful loch and the famous Linlithgow Palace, which was the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots. I live with my parents Colin and Lesley Ann and my brothers Chris 23 years, Jonny 19 years and my wee sister Honor who is 17 years old.

What Jobs have you done? What was the most interesting/bizarre?
While still at school I worked at my Aunt and Uncle’s farm in their animal feed store, at Marks and Spencer in Edinburgh, at Sky TV in Livingstone and then in a boutique in Falkirk. I have been modelling part-time since January this year. The most bizarre had to be working at the feed store where I drove tractors, forklift trucks, lorries and vans.

What are your career ambitions, how do you plan to realise them?
My ambition is to be a successful model and progress from that to textile and fashion design, which I have studied at Heriot-Watt University in Galashiels. I have already been modelling part-time while at university and having recently won Miss Scotland I hope this will help me on my way to achieving my ambitions.

What is the proudest moment of your life? (Not including winning your National Title)
The proudest moment of my life was winning the Clayton Prize award for originality in Upper 6 at St George’s School for Girls in 2001 for designing and making an Indian Mask which was the main feature in their art exhibition that year.

What was the funniest/most embarrassing moment of your life?
The most embarrassing moment of my life was at a show-jumping competition when my pony stopped dead at a jump and I flew over his head and ended straddled over the jump.

What was the funniest/most embarrassing moment of your life?
My life has changed since winning my national title in that I have been exceptionally busy doing radio interviews, and attending charity and opening events. My modelling career has escalated.

Tell us about an interesting event you have attended, or a person that you have met.
I attended a Bighearted Awards Dinner where I was impressed by so many brave and courageous people, and also met loads of celebrities, including Scotland’s First Minister, The Rt, Hon Jack McConnell, MSP.

What would you like to do, if you became Miss World 2004?
I would love to travel the world and meet lots of people from different cultures and would be delighted to become involved with any charity work, particularly those geared towards children. I would hope that I would prove to be a good role model for young people.

If you had a personal motto what would it be?
To be Healthy, Happy and Wise!

Give details of any charitable work undertaken?
