Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?
That person would have to be my elder sister because being only two children in a family of three my sister, besides my mother, has been of great influence to my life. I have always looked up to her for advice concerning issues that I would otherwise not be comfortable addressing my mother with. I can always count on her to cheer me up. I believe I can call her my best friend.
What is the most interesting or unique thing that has ever happened to you (aside from winning your title) and/or what is the most interesting thing about you?
The most unique thing that has ever happened to be has been to be raised by a single mother while being subjected to other people's malicious scrutiny, expecting me and my sister to turn out to be a disappointment to society, simply because we had no father figure. It has been interesting proving them wrong each time and making our independent mother proud. Consequently, the most interesting thing about me is that, like my mother, I am very independent by nature. I do not believe in luck, I believe that hardwork is the only way to achieve what I desire.
What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
My career ambition is to become a successful Marketing entrepreneur. Inorder to accomplish that, I have just completed a University diploma in Business Information Technology, ideal as it adds on to business the aspect of Information Technology. Next I intend to pursue a degree in marketing and later obtain a masters in the same field.
Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I was raised solely by my Mother. Though I lived in Nairobi Province, Kenya for the most part, my childhood was characterised by numerous visits to my native hometown Mwingi District in the Eastern Province of Kenya during school vactions. As a child I was abit of a tomboy and I therefore took advantage of these tours upcountry to explore and find adventure. I was, and still am I believe, very down to earth. My family is of the middle class and I therefore went to generally good primary and Secondary schools. I currently attend Strathmore University which is rated as one of the best institutions of higher education in Kenya. My family's religeous background is characterised mostly by Catholicism and consequently I am of Catholic faith.
What is your most unusual talent?
Ever since I was a child, my teachers recognised me as one who was good at public speaking. I can therefore bring myself to speak confidently infront of a multitude without allowing the symptoms of stage fright interfere with the delivery of my speeh.
