Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?
My grandfather. My grandfather was a farmer from the south of Namibia. As as kid I use to spend most weekends and holidays with him on the farm. He taught me the value of always being friendly, caring for those around you, keeping your feet firmly on the ground no matter how fortunate you are, and to see the postitive side of things. He firmly beleived that you lok for solutions in life not problems. He died a few years ago and I mus say he left a huge imprint on my life, and I dearly miss him.

What is the most interesting or unique thing that has ever happened to you (aside from winning your title) and/or what is the most interesting thing about you?
To have had the opportunity to go overseas as an exchange student, once when i was 16 to Germany and at age 17 to the USA. These experiences have enriched my life tremendously. I learned a great deal it showed me different cultures and other people's way of living. My love fore people and passion to always learn more and experience more made these the most interesting and unique happenings in my life, thus far!

What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
It is my ambition to eventually become a family advocate. I would like to practice law in gerneal for a few years and in the meantime to a specialist degree in family law. But all through life we learn valuable lessons and gain experience to us further on in life. My year as Miss Namibia was an amazing learning experience.

Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I was raised in Windhoek the capital of Namibia by Jonathon and Loretta Basson. The town has a small population and we are all a very close community with rich and proud cultural diversity. I am the eldest of two children, My brother is 6 years younger than I am but not my "little" brother by any means. He is over 2 meters tall. My parents have been in the property business for many years. My brother and I are very close and have a very special relationship. My parents have always been very supportived and encouraged us to always do our best no matter what challenges we might face in life.

List any interesting or unsual jobs you may have had.
Waitress in a Pizza Shop in Germany, Estate Agent, Law Firm.

What is your most unusual talent?
I did debating and oratory at school, so arguing is definitely a talent. Not senseless arguing, but arguing a case or cause. That is why I have such a passion for law, my love fore poeple gives me a stonger passion for family law.
