Chananthorn Rosachan

Name one person, other than your parents, who has had the most influence on your life. Why?
My aunt, Nualpan Mahakun, who also happens to be my legal guardian. She has encouraged me in every way to bring out my latent talents and be brave enough to do what is right. By adopting me, she has provided me with the opportunity to travel the world and gather invaluable experiences and made me the person I am today.

What is the most interesting or unique thing that has ever happened to you (aside from winning your title) and/or what is the most interesting thing about you?
I'd have to say graduation was the most interesting and memorable thing that happened to me. It marked an end to my youth and the long process of my official education. It was the last time that I got to see each and every one of my dear colleagues before we said our goodbyes and entered into a life of working and self-education.

What is your career ambition and what are you doing or plan to do to accomplish that goal?
I've always wanted to have a career as a pilot. It has been a dream since I was a child. I applied for a pilot position at Thai Air Asia following graduation and was chosen as a candidate to be a pilot trainee. Now the only thing standing between my dream and me is the training.

Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I was raised in Bangkok, Thailand. My parents were very open-minded about my adventurous self so that I enjoyed all the fun and freedom in the world. However, they always stressed the importance of being a true Buddhist and a true Thai. I went to Thai elementary school and was trained in Thai dancing from the age of 5. I was an energetic child and loved to play all kinds of sports.

What is your most unusual talent? I consider myself a fast learner and a person of great potential, but I haven't had enough opportunities to foster my talents in order for them to manifest themselves. I think my talents are raw but not unusual.
