Love stories set in UP have found favour with Bollywood filmmakers in the last few years. Even as 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns' - based in UP and shot in Lucknow - readies for release, actor-singer Himesh Reshammiya has revealed that his 'Heeriye' will also be shot in Kanpur and Lucknow.

While Himesh is playing the male lead in the movie, the makers have launched an innovative campaign on Twitter called #FindingHeeriye to choose the female lead in the film.

"The movie is planned in winters," shares Himesh, who is quite happy about shooting in UP. "The subject of the movie is a love story set in Kanpur and Lucknow. So the director and the producers decided to shoot it at actual locations. This is for the first time that I am acting in a love story set in North India," he adds.

Film critic Vishal Mishra is making his directorial debut with Heeriye, which also features director and actor Tigmanshu Dhulia in an important role
