Bollywood actor Govinda has prayed for superstar colleague Salman Khan at the Shirdi shrine.

"I have prayed for Salman at Shirdi Sai Baba shrine. I cannot talk much at the moment but I have prayed for him," Govinda, who worked with Salman in "Partner", told reporters last night after paying obeisance at the famous shrine.

Salman was sentenced to five years imprisonment by a Mumbai sessions court in the 2002 hit-and-run case which was later suspended by the Bombay High Court.

Govinda also visited Salman at his Galaxy apartment residence in Mumbai's suburban Bandra after the verdict in the 13-year-old case was pronounced on Wednesday.

The former MP, who was last seen in "Happy Ending", said he has also prayed for his upcoming home production "Abhinay Chakra". Govinda's wife Sunita also accompanied him during the visit.
