Director Siddharth Anand's next film will be a total departure from his bold and unconventional directorial debut "Salaam Namaste".

Siddharth, who recently confirmed Rani Mukerji and Saif Ali Khan for his untitled film, says the film will be an intense romance with emotions playing a very important role.

"Salaam Namaste was a contemporary film in keeping with its theme of a live-in relationship but my next film will portray romance on a very different level, with all its intensity," said Anand.

"I would have loved to repeat the Saif-Preity combination once again but I felt the Saif-Rani teaming was more apt considering the subject of the film," he said explaining his choice of lead pairs.
