Anurag Kashayp's most ambitious project fails to deliver at the Box Office.

The review of the film has taken social media on a troll. The film staring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar, has received average to bad reviews. The film 'Bombay Velvet has been based on a novel 'Mumbai Fables' by Gyan Prakash.

However the failure of the film has clearly reflected on the Box Office, as the film made 5.20 crore on the day of opening and and the second day it fell down to 5.10 crore.

The trade analyst Taran adarsh twitted, `#BombayVelvet Fri ₹ 5.20 cr. India biz. D-I-S-A-S-T-E-R.` Then Taran compared BV business with Ranbir Kapoor's Besharaam, which was a complete washout at the BO, he twitted, `#Besharam had collected ₹ 21.56 cr on Day 1 [2 Oct - holiday]. #BombayVelvet has collected 1/4th of that film on Day 1 [₹ 5.20 cr].`

Well, all we can do is wish Anurag Kashyap better luck for the next time! For more updates keep following the space.
