Sanjay Dutt's fascination for dark films continues. According to latest buzz the brawny actor is all set to star in a movie based on a shootout that took place in a
Lokhandwala flat in 1992 when the then additional commissioner of police, Aftaab Ahmed Khan gunned down, Dawood Ibrahim's aides including ring leader Maya Dolas and
Dilip Bua in an encounter lasting fourteen hours.
Aptly titled ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala' also see Sanjay Gupta and Apoorva Lakhia joining hands to make a realisticly original movie.
Apart from Sanjay Dutt, ‘Shootout' will star Arjun Rampal, Javed Jaffery. Search is on for the female leads and two more male actors. Lakhia and Gupta are said to have
talked with Vivek Oberoi and Emraan Hashmi for the roles but nothing has been finalized as yet.
The script has been written by Suresh Nair and music is by bands like Euphoria, Indian Ocean and Strings. Shibani Kashyap and Biddu also have a part to play in the music
of this film. The film will be shot in Mumbai and its outskirts. Shooting for ‘Shootout' will most likely begin by August and will reportedly be shot in a single 40-day schedule.
