"I am very happy and honoured to be here at the Harmony art show. Have got a very warm welcome today," Lata said while inaugurating the show, organised by Tina Ambani showcasing works of arts of over 150 artists from all over the country and abroad.
The media frenzy around Mangeshkar, however, created quite a commotion at the inaugural function, with photographers and camerapersons jostling to capture Lata and get a byte on the ongoing controversy over her alleged opposition to the proposed flyover on Pedder Road.
Securitymen formed a cordon around the singer, who was accompanied by her sister Usha Mangeshkar and other family members.
Lata, however, seemed unaffected by the chaos around her.
Also present was Jaya Bachchan, Anil Ambani and his mother Kokilaben and cricketer Ravi Shastri.
