Madhuri Dixit-Nene is nothing if not professional. She has proved it time and again. And the latest beneficiary of her professionalism seems to be none other than Neena Gupta. Neena, whose teleserial Saans became a rage, wanted to sign Madhuri for her debut feature film a year ago. But busy as she was Mrs. Nene told her to go ahead without her.

But Neena preferred to wait rather than rope in another actress, because she felt Madhuri alone can do justice to the role. Madhuri already has as many as five films in the kitty. Among them are Boney Kapoor`s film with the Big B and Sanjay Leela Bhansali`s Devdas, which is in the last stage.

After that Madhuri is supposed to fly to America to join her husband for Christmas, says the grapevine. However, as Neena seems intent on casting her for her film, Madhuri may, being the thorough professional that she is, drop her plans. If that happens, Mr. Nene's loss will be Neena's gain.
