As the star was granted bail, after getting convicted of all charges on May 8, 2015. According to the sources the Maharashtra Government's top department does not posses any file in relation to Salman's hit and run case. It has been revealed that the file of Salman's hit and run case 2002 were burnt during the fire at Mantralaya in 2012.
Further it was informed that, the Government officials were suppose to recreate all the documents and files, but apparently the officials have been unable to achieve so. The only details available regarding the case is that, Pradeep Gharat was appointed as public prosecutor at a fee of Rs 6000 per hearing.
However, on May 6, 2015 the session court found Salman Khan guilty and sentenced him to five years of jail, convicted under all charges including under Section 304 A of the Indian Penal Code (rash and negligent driving); 279 (rash driving); 337 (causing minor injuries); 338 (causing major injuries) 427 (negligence) in connection with the case.
But the sentence was suspended by the High Court and he was granted bail in cash of Rs 30,000. The final appeal would be heard in the month of July 2015. Meantime,Salman Khan has been given permission by the court to travel abroad.
