Bad review, low publicity and missing stars; the problems for Mukta Art's 'Shaadi Se Pehle' are just refusing to die down. And now we hear about Mallika Sherawat's latest revelation, in which she has stated her initial hesitation about doing the movie in the first place.
According to her, after getting a lot of International attention, she found it extremely hard to play a second fiddle, even if it was in Mukta Art's Film.
In the end it was director Satish Kaushik and her secretary Kalim, who eventually convinced her for doing the film, she further reveals.
Bachke Rehna Re Baba's box office report also came as a reality check for the hot actress. That is when she realised that starring in an international flick is not going to put her in the same league as Ash and she needs to pack in a lot more than just oomphy roles to build a successful career.
Learning from her past mistakes, Sherawat has now started to experiment with her image. In fact, she is so serious about it that she has asked filmmaker Sudhir Mishra to direct her in an adaptation of Tess – an offer that Sudhir declined.
Mallika is already doing a film called Pyar Ke Side Effects with Pritish Nandy Communications in which she is stars opposite Rahul Bose.
However, 'Shaadi Se Pehle' was premiered on Wednesday night and all the leading stars of the film including Akshaye Khanna, Mallika and Ayesha Takia were absent from showman's grand show. Apparently the fans were extremely let down by their behaviour.
Though covering up for the absence of the stars Subhash Ghai and the director of the film, Satish Kaushik did try to strike a humorous note with the viewers but this is not supposed to happen to any Showman's film!
We are sure, you won't be able to see Mallika or any of her co-stars in Mukta Arts Films for quite a long time now. Right Ghai saab?
