The 47-year-old actor says he found his role to be very interesting in the Zoya Akhtar-directed film, which is about a dysfunctional Punjabi family on a cruise trip.
"First of all, the role was extremely interesting and substantial and the length will be revealed only when you watch the film. Second, was the temptation to work with Zoya, as she is a dear friend since 23 years," Bose said in a statement.
"She has managed to crack mainstream without succumbing to easy solutions and I really liked her debut film 'Luck by Chance'. And third and the most important was that I loved the script," he added.
Bose, who is not doing many mainstream Hindi films, said he would like to do such projects provided "they have the fantastic three; script, director and role". 'Dil Dhadakne Do' also stars Anil Kapoor, Shefali Shah, Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma and Farhan Akhtar and will hit theatres this Friday.
