"I have directed action films but did not acted in it. There was a very good action team for this film ("Wazir"). It was the first time I was acting in an action film," Farhan said.
"As a kid I have loved doing action. I used to roam in the house with a toy gun thinking villain's are around. I even punched Zoya by mistake while doing one such action stuff. I was a filmy child," the 41-year-old helmer told reporters here at teaser launch of "Wazir".
'Wazir' has Amitabh Bachchan essaying the role of a paralysed chess grandmaster while Farhan plays the role of a cop.
The film also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Neil Nitin Mukesh in pivotal roles.
Farhan revealed he was in awe of Bachchan during the shoot of the film.
"We have done a lot of readings together. When we were shooting together at his house, it took me some time to do the scene. Thankfully it demanded sir (Amitabh Bachchan) to speak more dialogues and I was in awe of him. And it is one of the best scenes from the film," the "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag" protagonist said.
Farhan is excited about the release of his film "Dil Dhadakane Do" which will hit the screens on June 5.
"I hope everyone likes me and other actors in the film. We had kept screening of the film and people loved the film and Zoya's work as a director," he said.
