"It's a romantic drama, which all young people will connect to. I, too, related to the script. This film is most important to me as I have a pivotal character to play here. I've put in everything I could especially in the second-half. I'm keeping my fingers crossed." she says.
So what's the big fuss about the film anyway?
Says Bipasha, "I signed HDKG a long time back during my Barsaat days. The film was narrated to me as a love story with two leads and two special appearances. I am the female special appearance. We had mutually agreed that I wouldn't feature anywhere in the publicity or promos because it's not a triangular love story and I have a tiny role."
But dircetor Raj Kanwar completely denies her version. According to him, Bipasha was not signed as a guest artiste in the film.
Says Kanwar, "My film is a love story with two heroes and two heroines. She has two important songs. She exactly knew what she was getting into. We had never put in an agreement whether she would or wouldn't be part of our publicity but obne thing is for sure my film would be incomplete without her."
"Bips is a gem of a persona but I don't know why she is behaving like this. She is badmouthing her own film." he rues.
But Bipasha's loss seems to turning into Katrina's gain. The pretty lady has been inundated with the offers lately.
Tells Kat, "It has been quite a journey. My other films were like a learning process. I'm yet to find a footing. I'm glad it came along after some films. I enjoy light-hearted comedy. But at the same time, I also enjoy realism and emotional drama. I would definitely like to do a deglamourised role in an art film."
The actoress is now looking forward to working with Salman Khan and Govinda in David Dhawan's ‘Partner'. She will also be seen in Anil Sharma's ‘Apne', Aneez Bazmee's ‘Welcome' and Ram Gopal Verma's ‘Sholay'.
