Hamari Adhuri Kahani actress Vidya Balan may star opposite South sensation Rajinikanth. The actress, who was meant to do a Tamil film early on in her career, may be seen in a film opposite thethalaiva, as per a report on Bollywoodlife.com. Further to reports, it was earlier stated that no heroine would be paired opposite the legend but now it seems Vidya may just have this chance as the makers are keen to cast her. While it remains to be seen if this pair will be seen on the silver screen.

Deepika Padukone: The South superhero romances our very own Deepika Padukone in the eagerly awaited Tamil film Kochadaiiyaan. Rajinikanth plays three lead roles- Kochadaiiyaan, Rana and Sena while Deepika Padukone plays Princess Vadhana. Using performance capturing technology, this film has garnered a lot of interest and has been directed by Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya R. Ashwin. The veteran who is 63 years old, will be romancing Dips who is half his age. Deepika is only 28 years old. But age is no barrier for the superstar as a film with him ensures a sure shot hit. Sonakshi Sinha: When Sonakshi Sinha made her debut with Dabangg, she was paired opposite Salman Khan who was much older than her. She went on to do films with her seniors including Akshay Kumar. So working with stars almost double her age is not a big deal for Sona. This time too, she will pair up with South sensation Rajinikanth for Lingaa'. Sonakshi makes her Tamil debut with this film and has reportedly started shooting for it in Mysore. According to an interview in the Indian Express, the actress was quoted saying, "Very few people in the industry get an opportunity to do a film with Rajinikanth. If I had to make a debut in South, it had to be something as big as this. I can't wait to begin shooting for him in May." Interestingly, the film has been named after Rajinikanth's grandson Linga, who happens to be actor Dhanush and Rajini's daughter Aishwaryaa's son.
