Actor Riteish Deshmukh says he has a following of 500,000 fans on photo-sharing website Instagram.

The 36-year-old, who is married to actress Genelia D'Souza and has a son Riaan, took to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the news along with a `thank you" note.

`We are 500,000 on Instagram #RiteishDeshmukh - thank you for being so wonderful - Kuch aur Khachakkkkk ho jaaye,` he tweeted, along with a photograph in which he can be seen wearing a turban and giving a thumbs up to his fans.

Riteish, who is the son of former chief minister of Maharashtra late Vilasrao Deshmukh, made his Bollywood debut with 2003 film `Tujhe Meri Kasam` and went on to star in films like `Masti`, `Heyy Babyy`, `Dhamaal` and `Housefull`.

The `Ek Villain` actor keeps his fans and followers updated by frequently sharing news and photographs of himself on social media.

Riteish will next be seen in `Bangistan` and `Bank Chor`.
