The Brit beauty has been linked to Bollywood's enfant terrible for quite a sometime now but will she hold on or call it quits remains the million dollar question.
"I don't think Katrina will take any hasty decision," reveals a close friend. "She is a very level headed girl and will stick to Salman whatever may happen."
Salman is lodged in barrack no. 230 at Jodhpur Central prison where he is sharing his cell with a convicted murderer. While his barrack does not have a television he is entitled to newspapers. Two guards have been deployed outside his cell round-the-clock.
"There is no special treatment for him. He worked as per the jail routine. He woke up according to the jail timings, followed the jail routine of bathing,'' told Prison Director M. L. Chauhan to reporters.
"For dinner he was given roti, aloo tamatar ki subzi (potato-tomato vegetable) to eat, while in breakfast he was served gur-channa. In lunch he was served dal, roti and rice. He has not complained about the arrangements."
Khan who has already stayed in the prison for more than two days will have to spend at least one more night in jail after a Rajasthan court Wednesday fixed Thursday for hearing his bail application.
"Salman's counsel cited 38 reasons for an early hearing of the bail application, including his mother's sickness, before the court. The district and sessions judge, while agreeing to hear his bail plea, fixed the hearing for Thursday," a lawyer from Jodhpur said.
As Khan spent his first day in jail, dozens of his fans protested against the verdict outside the prison. Another girl, 11, said she would fast until Salman is released from the jail.
Salman's brother Sohail and sister Alvira, along with their lawyer Deepesh Mehta, met the actor in jail Tuesday afternoon. They spent over 50 minutes with Salman.
