After the critically acclaimed and National Award winning film "Page 3", Madhur Bhandarkar's take on the business world "Corporate" is complete and is to hit the screens
July 7.
"'Corporate' is a trilogy of three films, which started with 'Page 3' and will be complete with the release of my next film 'Traffic Signal'," said Bhandarkar at the completion
bash of his film here.
"My film will give the audiences an insight into a world filled with power, money and success. It is a battlefield of power hungry people donned in suits and armed with
degrees," he added.
Sahara One Motion Pictures, which has produced "Page 3", teams up with Bhandarkar for this film.
Sandeep Bhargava, chief operating officer, Sahara One Motion Pictures, said: "'Corporate' is our endeavour to give the audience a film which is not only innovative in its
subject but also a different movie experience.
"After being associated with films like 'Page 3', 'Hanuman', 'Malamaal Weekly', our focus is on making commercially successful cinema which is loved by the masses and
we look forward to 'Corporate' in that regard."
The key cast and crew members and the teams of Sahara One Motion Pictures and Percept Picture Company, dressed in business suits, gathered at Mayfair Rooms at
Worli to celebrate the film's completion.
"Corporate" tackles the underbelly of the corporate world and exposes its darker side. It is a story of an ambitious young woman who unfortunately becomes a pawn amidst
the power play between two rival corporate houses.
This film takes a deep look at the mindset of powerful people and attempts to find out what makes them tick. It also explores the nexus between the corporate and the
political world.
The film stars Bipasha Basu, Kay Kay Menon, Rajat Kapoor, Raj Babbar, Harsh Chhaya, Minissha Lamba and Sameer Dattani.
The first look of the film was unveiled at the bash along with key marketing imagery that will make its way into the cinemas shortly.
Shamir Tandon, who composed the music of "Page 3", scores the music for this film too. And the track is a heady mix of racy and soothing numbers sung by Asha
Bhosale, Lata Mangeshkar, Kailash Kher, Alisha Chinai, Vasudhara Das and Gary Lawyer.
