It is believed that Kangs, who is known for doing all she can to get under the skin of her character, will be spending a few weeks in New York as a Broadway musical production understudy to perfect her character for Vishal Bhardwaj's Rangoon. The film is a musical centered on the key character of Julia, played by Kangana.
An insider source reveals, "After the super success of TWMR all eyes are on Kangana Ranaut's next project. Apart from Nikhil Advani's Katti Batti, she is soon going to start shooting for Vishal Bharadwaj's Rangoon, which was earlier called Julia. Kangana plays the lead character of Julia in the film which is a Broadway style musical, where she will be seen opposite Shahid Kapoor. Interestingly, to understand the nuances of Broadway, Kangana is all set to visit New York to be an understudy at one of the world's biggest Broadway musical productions."
Known to not only play her character to the T, but, to really live and breathe it, Kangana is not going to leave any stone unturned. She is set to master the Broadway vibe, and unleash it upon her character's style, thus ensuring the film gets its due from both a setting and performance point of view. Well they don't call her the Queen of the craft for nothing now, do they?
