Mahesh Manjrekar will be seen in a new avatar in Pravin Tarde and Pranit Kulkarni's directorial debut film

Deool Banda. Doing a cameo in the film, Mahesh will be seen essaying the role of a Fakir for a particular song in the film and this would be the first time Mahesh plays a Fakir.

Mahesh Manjrekar was very enthusiastic about essaying the role of the Fakir and was so immersed into the character that not only did he give vital inputs to the character but also did his own make up. The song sequences were scheduled near kamshet on a famous highway dhaba, where Mahesh and group of Fakir's recite the poem. Mahesh Manjrekar being the professional that he is, even though it was raining heavily in Mumbai, Mahesh managed to escape the Mumbai traffic and water logging and reach the shoot. Even while shooting it was raining heavily, but the entire team was ready and well equipped and completed the shoot on time.

Commenting on the same an ecstatic Pravin said, `It's a dream come true to work with Manjrekar sir. He has seen me grow in the industry and this is very special for me as my first job in this industry was with Manjrekar sir as an assistant.` Directed by Pravin Tarde and Pranit Kulkarni the film is scheduled to hit the silver screen on 31st July 2015
