Richa Chadda had to walk all the way from Juhu SNDT to Juhu Hotel as her car broke down. The actress was reaching the sets of her upcoming movie Chalk N Duster, when she was delayed because of the heavy rain. She was stranded for almost an hour as her car wouldn't start and decided to walk it off.
Director Jayant Gilatar informs us that the starlet walked almost 1.5 kms to the location.
According to the sources, the actress who plays a journalist in the movie, was to reach the sets of Chalk N Duster at 9 am in the morning. But, it was raining so heavily that the actress was stranded in traffic for a long time as there was water on the road. Her car broke down and couldn't be started. She tried calling for a cab, but the phone networks were down. So, Richa who wasn't in the pinkest of health already, had to walk more than 1.5 kms to the sets.
The shoot that was to start at 9 am, commenced at noon.
Jayant says, "Richa is a brave girl. We were all worried on the sets because it was pouring cats and dogs, and were well past the time we intended to start. All of us reached late but, none could get through to Richa. There was some connection problem and we couldn't reach her phone. After hours she reached the sets, completely drenched, with an umbrella in her hand and a cloth to cover her face."
He adds, "As there was no transport facility available at that time, she had to come walking all the way. Was shivering a bit when she arrived, but by the end of the day, everything was normal."
