"It was a dream of mine to dance with him (Rishi Kapoor). I think nobody can perform a song like Chintu uncle.
We were shooting for 'Delhi 6'.
"I begged to Rakeysh Ompraskash Mehra (director) to give me a song with him. He gave us a beautiful song 'Rehna Tu' but that was in background. So, I could not dance with him," Abhishek told reporters here at the trailer launch of "All Is Well".
Abhishek said he had a great time working with Rishi in the film.
"I had one condition with Umesh Shukla (director of 'All Is Well') that I want at least two songs with him (Rishi Kapoor) and I am thankful that we got lucky as we got to perform with him whom we consider the best. He is still the best. We had a great time," he said.
Recalling his visits to the film sets of his father as a kid, Abhishek said he used to interact most with Rishi.
"Whenever I used to be on sets of my father's films as a child I used to interact a lot with him (Rishi Kapoor).
After my father I am a big fan of him. I used to love being with him. He used to play with us when we were kids," Abhishek said.
On the plot of "All Is Well", Abhishek said it is about a dysfunctional family and subsequent emotional bonding among its members.
"It is a road trip film. It is about a family that is on a road trip. It is a dysfunctional family and they don't get along. And how the bonding happens, how they resolve, work out their differences," Abhishek said.
In the film, actress Sonakshi Sinha has performed an item number which the actor said is "fantastic".
"During this journey (of a family) we stop at a dhaba.. Sonakshi is performing and Chintu uncle (as Rishi is fondly called) and I also perform there. She is fantastic. It is a great track, music is wonderful. There are other tracks in the film that are brilliant," he said.
