From an item girl to meaty roles and then cameos, Isha Koppikar's career is a roller coaster ride. After
bagging an important role in Farhan Akhtar's film, Don, the actress is now playing plays a criminal
kingpin in Ram Gopal Varma's Shabri.
The character will be completely deglamourised and Ishaa is pretty excited about it.
"When I first heard the script, I immediately knew I had to do the film. There was no way I could have
said no. I always believed in taking up different roles and this will only add to my portfolio," she
says.
"Shabri is about a girl from the slums who goes on to become a don. I sport a completely different look
in this role – the colour of my skin and hair has been altered. In fact, I couldn't recognise myself in the
film."
About her Don experience with SRK Isha tells, "It's been a great experience. It is a delight to work with
Shah Rukh. I learnt a lot from him."
We also heard that she also played volleyball with Shah Rukh during the making of 'Don to which Isha
says, "I had a ball. It was great playing volleyball with SRK, an experience I will never forget. SRK was
quite impressed with the way I played the game. He told me that I had the shoulders to make a
basketball player. "
