Actress Radhika Apte said she was drawn to the upcoming film "Manjhi - The Mountain Man" as she found its story incredible.

In the film, Radhika is playing the love interest and wife of Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the Ketan Mehta-directed film, loosely based on the life of a poor labourer from Bihar, Dashrath Manjhi, who carved a path through a mountain using only a hammer and chisel.

"It's an inspiring story and I wanted to be part of it.

I was like 'I had to get this part'," Radhika told reporters today at the trailer launch of the film here.

The "Hunterrr" star said her co-star Nawazuddin used to look aloof before doing the romantic scenes in the film.

"Ahead of romantic scenes he used to be very quiet... aloof... Sitting in one corner. I used to ask our Director (Mehta) 'Why he is not talking to me... He doesn't like me?' But the moment the director used to say action, Nawaz would come in romantic avatar," Radhika added.

The film releases next month.
