Ajay Devgn, who heads the cast of the Hindi remake of the Malayalam thrillerDrishyam, said that he hasn't watched the original film with Mohanlal in it nor has he watched Kamal Haasan'sPapanasam, the Tamil version. When asked why he hasn't watched these versions or whether comparisons bothered him, the Bollywood superstar maintained that one feels pressure only where competition is involved. He explained, "Both Mohanlal and Kamal are senior actors.

They are marvellous and have won the maximum number of awards each. The reason why I didn't see their films is because I didn't want to get influenced by their portrayals.Had there been a lesser actor, I would have seen the original film to understand what not to do.If I saw Mohanlal or Kamal's films, I would have probably got confused when portraying the character in the Hindi version."
