Parineeti Chopra, who was once on the heavier side, says earlier she didn't take her fitness seriously.

Asked if her slim look was for a film, Parineeti, who attended a special screening of the internationally acclaimed film "Masaan", told reporters: "No, it's just good to be fit. I realised this that earlier I wouldn't take it (fitness) seriously."

As for the movie, she said that she "cried a lot inside the theatre".

Starring Richa Chadha, Vicky Kaushal, Sanjay Mishra and Shweta Tripathi, "Masaan" won international accolades and awards at the Cannes International Film Festival.
