Last year, the actress came to Jaipur on the occasion of Gangaur, and being part of the festivities in the city made her reconnect with Rajasthan's vibrant culture. Her current trip to Jodhpur during the Teej festivities has once again made her feel nostalgic about Rajasthan. "The colour of sand, the state's history, and richness in its every corner attract me a lot. The fragrance of Rajasthan just makes me relive the days when I was shooting forVivah, one of my favourite films, which also introduced me to the culture of the state. And whenever I come to any of the cities, like Jaipur or Jodhpur, I relive those wonderful days. During these festivals of Teej and Gangaur, one tends to get swept up in the festivities. Since I am here on the occasion of Teej, I would like to enjoy delicacies like ghewar and fini, which are especially made during these two festivals. It's just a coincidence that I come to Rajasthan around these festivals."
A few months back, rumours of her secret marriage to an RJ was doing the rounds. But the actress never chose to clear the air or made any effort to scotch those rumours. When we asked her, the actress said, "It was my conscious decision not to react to any such rumours. It is better to let the past go and get on with your life than to let it hold you back. And, believe me, my marriage is not happening anytime soon."
Amrita hardly gets ruffled when told that she is not being seen in Bollywood movies these days. She makes it clear that she is choosy about her roles and films. "I still want to do films which are family-oriented and talk about Indian values. I don't want to do any scenes that a family finds embarrassing to watch. So, I am always on the lookout for good movies and scripts, and have no regrets if I don't get regular film offers."
On a visit to Jodhpur, the actress says she gets nostalgic every time she visits Rajasthan in festival season, since it reminds her of her Vivah shooting days
