Bollywood couple Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh who are currently in Bangkok are "safe". Actress Genelia, who is shooting for an ad in the Thai capital, revealed that she was close to the blast site on Twitter.
The 'Force' star, 28, took to the micro-blogging site Twitter to express her grief over the lives lost due to the powerful bomb blast and inform her fans that she was safe.
She revealed that she was in a mall right opposite to the bomb site and could hear the sirens blazing.
"Bomb set off just opp the mall we are currently in - can hear the sirens blazing all over- we are safe but feel terrible for the lives lost," Genelia tweeted.
Riteish also tweeted, "Bangkok -right across the street". He also posted a video of police.
At least 27 people were killed and 78 others wounded -- mostly foreigners -- in a bomb explosion on Monday close to Hindu Erawan Shrine in the centre of the Thai capital, police said.
The temple, which is dedicated to Lord Brahma, is located on a main road through Bangkok's commercial hub and is surrounded by three major shopping malls.
