To avenge the untimely death of his wife who fell off a mountain, Dashrath Manjhi aka 'Mountain Man' literally dug up the mountain near Gaya in Bihar.InManjhi - The Mountain Man,Nawazuddin Siddiqui brings alive the biopic of an ordinary man who performed an extraordinary feat. Radhika Apte plays his beloved wife Falguni Devi.
While the film's trailer created a buzz on social media, Nawaz's portrayal ofManjhiis touted to be one of his finest and toughest roles so far. Says director Ketan Mehta, "This film will make a person question what he or she can do for their beloved becausepahaad todne se mushkil kya ho sakta hai." He adds, "Manjhidied in 2007 but he deserved to be more than just a headline. Making this film is our small way of ensuring that his 'never say die' spirit continues to live on."
The movie is backed by the studio that's known to set trends with different yet entertaining cinema.
